Declan Dowling is an accomplished Actor, Singer, Writer, and Director hailing from the NSW Coast. Recognized for his roles as 'Dom Claude Frollo' (Hunchback of Notre Dame) [Nominee, Best Actor in a Musical, 2023 Sydney BroadwayWorld Awards], 'Jules/Robert Greenberg' (Sunday In The Park With George), 'Prof. Zoltan Karparthy' (My Fair Lady), 'Arthur Kipps' (The Woman In Black), 'Count Almavia Grande' (TARS; or The Marriage of Figaro) and 'Detective Carl Hanratty' (Catch Me If You Can), for which he earned The City of Newcastle Drama Award (CONDA) for Best Actor in a Musical.
Diversifying his talents, Declan's creative endeavors extend to writing and directing, with notable works; 'Shifted' (with Aria Nominee James Court), 'None of Woman Born', 'Animal Farm', 'You & Me' [Nominee, Best Cabaret Performer/Best Cabaret, 2022 Sydney BroadwayWorld Awards], 'Songs I Wish I'd Written' & 'Where Life Suits Me'. A former board member of the Newcastle Fringe Festival, Declan artistically directed The 2022 New Voices Festival (SYD) and The 2023 Oxford Cabaret Festival (SYD). An alumnus of the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), Declan expanded his skills through workshops at the Stella Adler School of Acting and Strasbourg Dramatic Institute (NYC).
